Carrosyl Community Group is a voluntary group formed in 2001 by two neighbouring housing estates, Carrowshee Park (The Fairy Ring) & Sylvan Hill (Quid of Land). It's main focus is trying to improve the quality of life for all its residents

Carrosyl Community Association is a community group made up of trained qualified and fully vetted volunteers.

In 2008 Carrosyl won an £80,000 Award from the Big Lottery & Peoples Millions to construct a state of the art multi-sports arena.

After many months, the Carrosyl Community Base opened in March 2009.

Since the base opened the following activities have taken place: committee meetings, Inter- agency meetings, Youth Club, after schools Club, Saturday Club and drop in centre, coffee mornings, yoga computer courses.

A number of the activities in regard to the youth have been organised by the part time youth worker, who is employed by the Western Education and Library Board until 2010 and who’s office is in the Community base.
